What do you do outside of training?  I'm doing my masters of forensic anthropology, so outside of training most of my time is spent studying and researching how 3D imaging can be used to analyse sharp force trauma to the skeleton. That, and eating as much Thai food as humanly possible.

What was the best advice you were ever given?  "Underwear first, then pants". It's never led me astray.

If money and career were no object, where in the world would you choose to live?  I would pack up and move to Thailand in a heartbeat. Aside from the amazing food and beautiful people, I could get used to living on Thai time for the rest of my life.

If your life were a movie, what would be the title?  "Well that didn't go as planned..."

Why did you start doing muay thai?  I thought it would be a badass way to get fit for a while. I never wanted to spar, and I definitely never wanted to get in the ring. A few years later and I've been sparring for a while now, and fighting is definitely crossing my mind.

What do you enjoy about muay thai?  I like that it's so challenging. While I can see that I've definitely improved from when I started, I've never once finished training and thought "that was easy", and I probably never will.

At training what is your biggest challenge and what do you do to manage this challenge?  I'm essentially a lazy person. No matter how much I love training there are a lot of days that I feel like I just can't be bothered. Luckily I've worked out that no matter how lazy I'm feeling I'm yet to regret getting off my butt and going, but I do regret the days I decided not to train. It's not exactly motivating, but it's been pretty successful at stopping me from passing up training in favour of naps!
